About

TBC stakeholders made the decision to create a team consisting of the leading players in the fields of Design, Research, and Loans & Risks specialists.

They also invited and involved specialists from the McKinsey consulting team exclusively for this disrupting project.

I was invited to work on this project for 6 months

Research

To design a seamless mortgage experience, I used JTBD, 4W, and 5W1H to uncover user needs. Partnering with outsourcing firms, I conducted interviews to craft qualitative personas.

I created low and high-fidelity wireframes and built a medium-fidelity prototype for live user testing. Collaborating with Loan & Risk teams, I iterated on 20+ user flows to meet strict regulations.

To refine the experience, I met with bankers, co-developing key questions to uncover workflow inefficiencies. The result? A streamlined mortgage process allowing millions to apply online—no bank visits needed.

Flows

Designing a seamless mortgage experience meant balancing personalization, compliance, and user trust. We started by adding all the necessary input fields to generate a tailored loan offer, ensuring users received financing options suited to their needs.

Behind the scenes, our system checked eligibility with TBC Bank, presenting users with a personalized loan they could customize. Next came the formal—but crucial—agreement step, ensuring transparency before proceeding

Collateral verification followed, where users could declare additional income sources. Income validation was a key moment—we asked for details like Income Source, Type of Activity, and a signed PDF bank statement to ensure accuracy.

Finally, users reached the Disbursement stage, where they could review their loan terms and even schedule a meeting with a banker. Every step was designed for clarity and confidence, empowering users to secure their mortgage entirely online—without ever setting foot in a bank.
